Save the earworms!

Worms wriggle their way bravely through the depths of the earth, care for the habitat of their plant and animal neighbours, and are true all-rounders. Unfortunately, most species are blind, deaf and dumb, so they can’t hear the musical earworms about them and their animal friends. But the natural world is dear to many a composer’s heart – you can find references in music to almost anything, from creepy-crawlies to storms and inclement weather. Climate change and its consequences have also inspired new musical works. Save the bees! Save the forests! Save the earworms!
