Description

The concert programme of the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle cannot go ahead as planned due to the impact of the coronavirus pandemic. This concert has been rescheduled for 3 September 2020, tickets retain their validity: Got to replacement event

When Anne-Sophie Mutter set up a foundation in 1997 to support talented young musicians in the decisive initial years of their career, Daniel Müller-Schott could have been one of the first artists to receive a scholarship. But at the age of 20, the young cellist was already so successful that he did not need any assistance. Nonetheless, Anne-Sophie Mutter insisted on giving him her personal support, and the result was a friendship that has continued to this day. The two artists regularly play chamber music together – accompanied in tonight’s recital by one current and one former scholarship holder.
