Description

The Vienna Academy Orchestra is one of the most important orchestras in Austria. The traditional orchestra with its founder Martin Haselböck is celebrated worldwide as one of the best orchestras for original sound. From Vienna, where they perform a concert cycle in the legendary Golden Hall of the Vienna Musikverein, they take the original sounds out into the world - to New York, Chicago, Madrid, Tokyo, Tel Aviv, Buenos Aires and Santiago de Chile.

In 2026, the top Viennese orchestra will present a rousing baroque programme with works by Bach, Biber and Telemann in the Elbphilharmonie. The solo highlight of the evening will be the up-and-coming soprano Johanna Falkinger, who has already made her debut at the Salzburg Festival, the Philharmonie de Paris and the Vienna Musikverein. In her eagerly awaited Elbphilharmonie debut, the young soloist will now perform Bach’s popular cantata »Jauchzet Gott in allen Landen«.
