Music that gives hope. Learning that shapes the future.

The Nova Consonanza ensemble brings together former musicians from Hamburg’s major orchestras, long-standing friendships – from experienced professionals to ambitious students. Since its foundation in 2017, the orchestra has been playing for a good cause. This concert supports the work of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning.

Hundreds of millions of people worldwide are unable to learn due to poverty or crises. 739 million young people and adults can neither read nor write. The UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning, based in Hamburg, provides them with education – and thus a perspective. The proceeds from this concert will go directly to projects in war and crisis zones such as Ukraine, Chad, Bangladesh and other regions – where they are most urgently needed.
