NDR Bigband / Ingrid & Christine Jensen / Kris Davis / Nikki Iles
»Luminescent Landscapes«
There have already been several prominent pairs of brothers in jazz, such as Julian and Nat Adderley, Julian and Roman Wasserfuhr or Hank, Thad and Elvin Jones. Sisters in jazz have been rather rare, but with the »Jensen Sisters« this has definitely come to an end. Born in Vancouver in 1966, Ingrid Jensen is one of the most prominent and well-known trumpeters in jazz, as much in demand in New York as she was in 1992 as the youngest professor at the Bruckner Conservatory in Linz.
