Warm synths, clear messages

She blends 80s aesthetics with the current indie vibe: lùisa isn’t just a singer; she also wrote, arranged and produced her new album, »Call Me the Witch«, in her own studio. The album captivates with warm sounds, synthesizers, sparkling guitars – and feminist messages: lùisa transforms her anger at entrenched structures into unstoppable, creative energy. »I want to be the kind of woman that men are scared of when they go home, alone, in the dark,« she sings in the title track of the new album, thereby turning the tables without further ado.

»Call Me the Witch« is already the fourth album by the Hamburg-based artist, who won the KRACH+GETÖSE music award in 2013 and has since become a defining voice for sophisticated new-wave pop from the Hanseatic city. Known for her intense live performances, lùisa has appeared as support act for Alanis Morissette and, in autumn 2025, joined the legendary British band Simply Red on their sold-out arena tour across Germany and Switzerland.
