Between Heaven and Jazz

»As if an angel were playing the trumpet« – this was the headline in the Abendblatt newspaper when she performed during the last ProArte season. Lucienne Renaudin Vary has also made an honourable appearance as a tower trumpeter at St. Michael’s Church in Hamburg. When she returns this season alongside Michelkantor Jörg Endebrock, we can look forward to a varied programme. The young French trumpeter always delights with her slender tone, her natural musicality and her effortless transition between genres. Today classical, tomorrow romantic, the day after tomorrow jazz – and sometimes all in one concert. For the finale of the Michel subscription series, Lucienne Renaudin Vary spans a wide musical arc from Torelli and Marcello to Gershwin and Piazzolla.
