Anniversary celebrations – finally!

Like so many other things, the Beethoven Year of 2020 took place on a far smaller scale than had been hoped. However, it is better to celebrate late than never. A work commissioned for Beethoven Year, »Ihr wisst nicht die geheime Ursache« (You don’t know the secret reason) by Nikolai Brücher – composer and music librarian of the Laeiszhalle Orchestra – is now finally seeing the light of day! That new piece is performed between two of Beethoven’s most important works, which were composed a quarter of a century apart.
