Description

After »Alle Toten fliegen hoch«, »Wann wird es endlich so, wie es nie war« and »Ach, diese Lücke, diese entsetzliche Lücke«, actor and author Joachim Meyerhoff now presents the fourth part of his life story in novel form: The fragile and unsuccessful young actor has ended up in the provinces, where he meets Hanna, an ambitious and very intelligent student. She becomes the first great love of his life. A few weeks later, Franka comes into his life: a dancer with an irresistible habit of staying up all night partying. And then there’s Ilse, a baker woman in whose bread shop the narrator feels happier than anywhere else. The question is: can »two loners together« really work out?

Joachim Meyerhoff, born in Homburg/Saar in 1967, has been a member of the ensemble of the Vienna Burgtheater since 2005. His debut novel was awarded the Franz Tumler Prize for Literature in 2011, and in 2017 he was awarded the Carl Zuckmayer Medal.

This event takes place in German.
