From Baroque to Minimal

Between Baroque and minimal music, between Bach fugues and the trance-like circular patterns of Philip Glass lie a good 250 years of music history. Nonetheless, the two styles have more in common than one might think. Iveta Apkalna, the Elbphilharmonie’s titular organist, explores surprising common ground and appealing contrasts in her recital programme.
