This programme tells of inner movements – of longing, memory and quiet passion. Anton Arenskij’s expressive Second String Quartet with double cello meets Michail Glinka’s yearning »Trio pathétique«. Alexander Borodin’s famous »Notturno« from the second string quartet makes the heart sing, Frank Bridge’s »Two Pieces for viola and piano touch with English noblesse. And finally, Antonín Dvorák’s colourful A major Sextet celebrates the soul to the rhythm of Bohemian dances. An evening full of emotion – where every note is an emotion.
