Description

Music from all over the world shall have a place in the Elbphilharmonie! For non-Western countries have their own classical music too: complex art music that has been continually refined while being passed down through the generations. Indian classical music is not only characterised by the sitar, but also by the impressive, colourful-sounding string instrument sarangi. The current renaissance of this instrument is, if nothing else, the merit of virtuoso Dhruba Ghosh, who has mastered the traditional playing style perfectly.
