Description

Hannah Epperson feels her way towards every song carefully, whispering, looping and plucking as she goes. Hiding alternately behind her violin or her blonde mane of hair, she lets her percussionist take centre stage, then suddenly steps into the limelight herself. Then violin loops, percussion and her voice combine to create a gripping overall picture. The young New York-based classical artist was born in Salt Lake City and grew up in Vancouver; she is widely travelled, and takes her inspiration from her many trips, from collaborations with other musicians and with artists from other spheres. All her songs exist both in a reduced neo-classical and a pop format. Both versions of each piece can be found on her two-part album »Slowdown / Upsweep«.
