Description

While the first Philharmonic Academies from 2015 to 2017 were all about the intensive musical work within the orchestra, the project opened up to the Hamburg public in 2018 with the Rathausmarkt Open Air Concert. In 2019, Kent Nagano and the Hamburg Philharmonic State Orchestra are now going one step further and are inviting Hamburg choirs and singers to join them to perform a major oratorio programme at the Elbphilharmonie.
