Description

Ensemble Resonanz advances into the unknown this season. That is meant quite literally, when the Hamburg string collective is inaugurated as ensemble in residence of the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall. Also present: the new work »Release« by Georg Friedrich Haas, composed specifically for the ensemble and its new home. The composition’s microtonal sounds celebrate an ecstatic delimitation of the listening experience.

»We drop anchors into the depths of music history and life« – thus the credo that inspired Ensemble Resonanz’s development of five events related to each Resonanz concert. The events offer interested music lovers the chance to discover more about the themes surrounding each concert, attend rehearsals and listening experiments.p>

Listen to the concert later: radio station NDR Kultur will broadcast Ensemble Resonanz’s inaugural concert in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall at 20:00 on 16 January.
