A Chess-Playing Composer

Sandro Nebieridze is a pianist with plans. These include a few good games of chess, plenty of ice cream and the chance to play some concerts. We can safely assume that since being awarded second prize for his fantastic final performance at the Busoni Competition in 2025, his first two wishes have come true. As far as the third item on his list is concerned, ProArte is more than happy to help out by offering him a seat at the piano in the concert series for talented newcomers. At his debut concert, the 26-year-old Georgian pianist will play Prokofiev’s captivating Sonata No. 7 and Chopin’s famous »Funeral March« Sonata. Since Nebieridze is not only an exceptional performer, but also a composer, he will follow in the footsteps of Prokofiev and Chopin by performing one of his own compositions entitled »Three Esquisses«.
