Collaborative oratorio

The premiere of »The Same Word« is an opportunity to experience the exciting result of a project in which four composers from three continents joined forces to write a piece together. The artist collective Koru came together in response to growing religious and cultural conflict around the world. The group has been meeting in Hamburg, Jerusalem and New York since 2018 to carry out research, develop collaboration structures, and search for the musical and ethical commonalities in the world’s religions. Together, they have created a completely new kind of work, one that is sometimes called a »collaborative oratorio« and sometimes a »symphony for peace«.
