Description

In Israeli pianist Boris Giltburg’s playing, brilliant technique, dazzling musicality and an exceptional intellect come together to create a fascinating total package. In 2013 he won the prestigious Queen Elisabeth Competition in Brussels, which opened the doors to the world’s concert halls for him. Giltburg has a predilection for the Russian repertoire, and has a particular fondness for Sergei Rachmaninov’s works. Reviewers praised Giltburg’s recording of Rachmaninov’s »Etudes-tableaux«, saying, »He is completely unfazed by the tricky notes, he simply plays with them and expresses pure, immaculate sound.« He now performs a selection of preludes from various Rachmaninov cycles in the »Pianomania« series.
