Description

If the label »sound architect« applies to any composer, then Iannis Xenakis is the one – after studying engineering in Athens, he worked as an assistant to the architect Le Corbusier for twelve years. In cooperation with the Elbphilharmonie, which dedicates a spotlight in its music programme to Iannis Xenakis, architecture students at the HafenCity University Hamburg have, in one seminar course, been exploring the transformation of musical structures into innovative space concepts. The results are revealed in an exhibition on 30 November and 1 December. The exhibition is open from 15:00 to 20:00, and admission is free.
