Back in 2018, the pianist and singer Tigran Hamasyan performed at the Elbphilharmonie as a member of the state chamber choir of his homeland Armenia. The 33-year-old, who won the piano competition of the renowned Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz when he was just 19, now returns to Hamburg with his trio and a new album.
