Description
Fünf Konzerte in der Laeiszhalle, ein Konzert in St. Michaelis. Auch wenn ihn die Instrumentalisten dafür prügeln mögen, aber die menschliche Stimme halte er für das farbenreichste aller Instrumente. So sagte einmal Thomas Quasthoff mit Lust zur Provokation. Keine Sorge, allzu heftige Einwände seitens Streicher, Bläser und Kollegen sind schon deshalb nicht zu erwarten, weil der deutsche Bassbariton selbst immer wieder beweist, dass (zumindest) er tatsächlich über unerschöpfliche vokale Gestaltungsmittel verfügt. Natürlich, Quasthoff besticht auch mit rein stimmlicher Brillanz, aber vor allem mit einem Ausdrucksspektrum, dem nichts Menschliches fremd ist. Wo andere Interpreten bequem auf dem Mittelweg des Schöngesangs dahintrotten, sucht hier einer unternehmungslustig die emotionalen Abgründe und Gipfel auf. Sein Abenteuergeist hat den gebürtigen Hildesheimer nicht nur an die internationale Spitze seines Fachs, sondern auch über mancherlei musikalische Grenze geführt. Denn das »Quasthoff-Fach« ist nicht die typische Klassik-Schublade, wie der Künstler betont: »Klassik darf nicht so sockelmäßig stattfinden. Man muss zum Punkt der Unterhaltung zurück. Heißt denn Liederabend: Bedrückt gucken und beseelt nachhause schweben? Wir sind Unterhalter, verdammt noch mal. Sammy Davis Jr. oder Jerry Lewis haben das 50 oder 60 Jahre getan. Soll auch Spaß machen.« Seine einmalige Vielseitigkeit zeigt Thomas Quasthoff nun in einem sechsteiligen Projekt, das durch einen Meisterkurs an der Musikhochschule abgerundet wird. Neben Hommagen an die Großmeister der deutschen Romantik, von Brahms’ Liederzyklus »Die schöne Magelone« über Schumanns »spanische« Vokalquartette bis zu Mendelssohns Oratorium »Elias«, ist dabei auch der Entertainer Quasthoff zu erleben – mit amerikanischem Jazz und deutschen Volksliedern. »Bedrückt gucken« ist nicht in diesem Zyklus, aber »beseelt nach Hause schweben« könnte klappen … Leider ist dieses Abonnement nicht mehr in seinem ursprünglichen Angebot mit sechs Konzerten erhältlich. You would rather pick out your own individual concerts than book an entire concert series? In that case, the »Wahl-Abo« is just right for you. It is the best way to experience the programmatic breadth of the Symphoniker Hamburg and not miss out on special rates: a 20% discount when buying tickets for five (or more) different concerts at the same time. The discount is only available at the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle Tickets shops and when ordering by telephone.

With the Abo-Card, two tickets can be purchased for many concerts of the Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the Norddeutscher Rundfunk with a 10% discount. The 10% discount can be claimed directly after payment of the subscription.

Renewal: no problem
A subscription is valid for the selected series in season and will be renewed for a further season automatically, unless written notice to terminate the renewal is given by 30 June of the current season (exception: the Symphoniker Hamburg's Hasi Concerts).

Clash of appointments? Swop or transfer!
If you are unable to attend a concert in your subscription series, a voucher will be issued, which you may then redeem for your chosen concert of the same promoter (exceptions: NDR Bigband, NDR Jazz, NDR Vokalensemble and NDR Chamber Music Recitals series as well as the Symphoniker Hamburg’s »Hasi Concerts«).
Only one swop is accepted per subscription and season. Swops can only be executed within season. You must give notice of a swop request in person or by phone one week before the concert at the latest.
The right to attend the subscribed concerts can also be transferred to third parties.

Free travel to concerts with HVV
