Audience Orchestra 2026/27

Description

Step onto the stage of the Elbphilharmonie yourself! Ninety music-loving amateur musicians are fulfilling this dream as part of the Elbphilharmonie Audience Orchestra. With some prior orchestral experience, you can play here at a high level every week. Michael Petermann, the Academy Director of the Hamburg Conservatory, selects works for the concerts in the Grand Hall and in the city’s cultural centres; most recently, these included Modest Mussorgsky’s »Pictures at an Exhibition« and Edward Elgar’s Serenade for String Orchestra.

Rehearsal day & time: Wednesdays, 19:15–21:45
Rehearsal venue: Elbphilharmonie Kaistudio
First autumn rehearsal:2 September 2026 (Registration from 19 May 2026)
Open positions: violin, viola, cello, double bass, clarinet. Applications for other instruments will not be considered.

Monthly participation fee: €10
