Kit Armstrong & Friends

It’s all about Mozart! The star pianist Kit Armstrong and his world-class guests embark on an »Expedition Mozart.«

Pure, unadulterated Mozart, in the very best of company: As a highlight of the Mozart Festival at the Elbphilharmonie, Kit Armstrong has assembled a stellar ensemble of musical collaborators. Joining him are the violist Amihai Grosz, concertmaster of the Berlin Philharmonic Noah Bendix-Balgley, and three celebrated string quartets. Together, they are set to guide the audience through a journey of Mozart’s masterpieces – an »Expedition Mozart« – featuring both beloved classics and hidden gems, with catchy melodies guaranteed! The programme includes two piano concertos, exquisite chamber music and the famous Sinfonia Concertante.

And if two concert halves leave you craving even more Mozart, you can stay for some post-concert »night music« to round off the evening. Naturally, the iconic »Kleine Nachtmusik« will be performed, alongside some delightful chamber music surprises.

Amadeus, Amadeus :Season 2024/25

Happy birthday, Mozart! To mark his birthday on 27th January, the Elbphilharmonie honours the great classical composer with a special festival, for which several top-class artists are coming to Hamburg in January 2025.
