Gibran Alcocer in the Grand Hall

Social media star and pianist Gibran Alcocer has recorded an exclusive music video on the occasion of his German debut at the Elbphilharmonie.

Music for millions

Gibran Alcocer captivates millions of listeners around the world on his digital channels. The Mexican pianist and composer had his breakthrough in 2021 with piano covers that quickly went viral on TikTok and other platforms, making him world famous. In the summer of 2022, he released his first original composition, »idea 10«, which immediately made waves on social media. By 2025, it had inspired nearly 3.5 million Instagram videos and around 300,000 TikTok posts, generating over a billion views. Born in 2003, Alcocer has since released several more works, attracting millions of monthly listeners on streaming services. His music is set apart by catchy melodic patterns that often bring about a melancholic, wistful mood – a serene and atmospheric combination of modern minimalism and cinematic expressiveness.
