From breathtaking orchestral performances to intimate chamber music, virtuoso jazz to vibrant pop nights, dance performances and community projects, not to mention some incredible voices, plenty of atmosphere, old traditions and new ideas – 2024 was filled with some remarkable and emotional moments at the Elbphilharmonie. As every year, renowned orchestras and world-class artists graced the stage, while opera productions transformed the hall into stunning theatrical spectacles. Festival highlights took audiences on journeys to Naples and Brazil, and the Hamburg International Music Festival celebrated the theme of »Freedom«. The »Reflektor« artist and all-round phenomenal talent André Heller turned the Elbphilharmonie into a multimedia temple of art and music, then guitarist Marc Ribot invited the who‘s who of the New York downtown jazz scene to his festival. With something for every musical taste, 2024 truly had it all – a year to remember!
