Martyn Ware / Adrian Utley / Will Gregory / Moog Ensemble
Electronauts
For the British keyboarder Martyn Ware, born in steel town Sheffield in 1956, where he also grew up, it was an important criterion that people could dance to his music. In 1981 the band that he co-founded, Human League, had its first (and only) No. 1 hit in the English charts with the song »Don’t You Want Me«. Martyn Ware couldn’t benefit from the song’s commercial success, as he had already left the band the year before. He continued his musical career with the band project Heaven 17, which enjoyed a cute anti-hit with »We Don’t Need That Fascist Groove Thang«. At the »Electronauts« festival he appears as part of an all-star trio with the two luminaries of electropop, Will Gregory and Adrian Utley, plus the Moog Ensemble.
