Lilit Grigoryan, piano
Pianomania
The Caucasus is known for its talented musicians. One of these is the Armenian pianist Lilit Grigoryan. She started her musical training in her home country before star pianist Maria João Pires took her under her wing.
In the »Pianomania« concert, in addition to sets of variations by Handel and Haydn, Grigoryan performs two brilliantly composed cycles by Rachmaninov, where the interpreter is called upon as both poet and virtuoso. It will also be interesting to see how Lilit Grigoryan approaches the expressive world of Polish composer Karol Szymanowski.
