The musicians of the Leonkoro Quartet, which was formed in 2019, study with Eckart Runge and Gregor Sigl (Artemis Quartet) at the Berlin University of the Arts and in the renowned string quartet class at the Reina Sofía School of Music in Madrid with Günther Pichler (Alban Berg Quartet). The quartet has won numerous competitions and was the beneficiary of a scholarship from the Würzburg Mozart Festival. Performances in prestigious chamber music series and at famous festivals are in the pipeline, including appearances at the Beethovenhaus Bonn, the Heidelberg String Quartet Festival and the Rheingau Music Festival.
