Due to restoration work on the historic quay walls at Kehrwiederspitze, access from Baumwall to the Elbphilharmonie is restricted until February 2028: the bridge at the »Baumwall« underground station toward HafenCity/Elbphilharmonie (western Niederbaumbrücke) is closed to car, bus and bicycle traffic. The opposite direction (eastern Niederbaumbrücke) is not affected by the closures. Pedestrians can continue to use the bridges in both directions.
Bus lines 2, 111, and 607: The »Am Kaiserkai (Elbphilharmonie)« stop will not be served in the direction of HafenCity until mid-May. Please use the »U Baumwall« or »Am Sandtorkai« stops as alternatives. The »Am Kaiserkai« stop in the direction of Landungsbrücken can be used without restriction.
Individual transport: To reach the Elbphilharmonie, please use the next bridge (»Brooksbrücke«, approx. 500 m further on) to get from the city side to HafenCity via »Auf dem Sande«. Departure from the Elbphilharmonie is not affected.

Elbphilharmonie concert tickets are valid on the day of the event as a ticket for the journey to the venue and the return journey in the A–F zones of the HVV (public transportation) network. A Plaza ticket is not a valid HVV ticket.

The Elbphilharmonie is a special building situated in a special place. Allow plenty of time for getting to the Elbphilharmonie and making your way to the concert area. Late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may be refused admission to the concert hall. We suggest arriving at the main entrance at least 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event.
Current admission times
Concert tickets for the Grand and Recital Halls authorise a visit to the Plaza from tweo hours before the start of the concert or event. Visitors to the Kaistudios and all other visitors require a Plaza ticket to visit the Plaza.
The foyers of the Grand Hall and the Recital Hall open 60 minutes – and 90 minutes for events with a pre-concert talk – before the start of the event.
The doors to the Grand Hall and to the Recital Hall open 30 minutes before the event start time.
Whether an pre-concert talk is offered is noted in the event details in the programme calendar.
If you arrive late to a concert or event, ushers will indicate an appropriate time for you to enter the hall, generally during the applause between works. Please note that late seating is not guaranteed and latecomers may not be admitted to the concert hall. Allow plenty of time for getting to the Elbphilharmonie and the way to the concert area. We suggest arriving at the main entrance of the Elbphilharmonie 30 minutes before the start of the concert or event.
Toilets
Visitors that exit the hall can only be guaranteed admission during the interval.
Jackets and small handbags may be taken into the hall. Walking-stick umbrellas, bags sized A3 (42 x 30 cm) or above, luggage and other bulky items must be stored in the lockers (27 x 13 x 47 cm, 27 x 42 x 47 cm, 27 x 87 x 47 cm) located in the corridor leading to the ticket shop on the ground floor (on the right-hand side of the entrance area). Please note that the number of lockers is limited. Strollers and prams can be left with the admissions personnel on the Plaza. Wheeled walkers can be handed in at the hall entrances.
Please note: the cloakrooms for visitors of the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall are located exclusively on the 11th floor.
A total of three bars in the Grand and Recital Hall foyers are available to Elbphilharmonie concertgoers before concerts. Concert refreshments for the Grand Hall and the Recital Hall open 60 minutes – and 90 minutes for events with a pre-concert talk – before the start of the event. It is not possible to reserve tables.
The Harbour Bar on the 12th floor is open until one hour after the end of the event. Cocktails are also offered here in addition to the standard menu.
A concert at the Elbphilharmonie is a unique experience for both the audience and the performers. Guests and musicians alike rave about the precise acoustics in the Grand Hall. You can hear every note, even from the highest balcony.
Unfortunately, the opposite is also true: even presumably quiet noises from the audience are clearly audible in the entire hall. We therefore ask our visitors to heed the following recommendations: Tips four your concert visit
It is strictly forbidden to take photographs or record videos during a concert or event. Video recordings and photography are permitted for private purposes only on the Plaza and in the foyers, as well as before the start or following an event in the concert hall, provided that you respect the privacy of other visitors and do not interfere with regular business operations. Employees may not be photographed or filmed.
Toilet facilities are located in the foyer areas of each hall.
Grand Hall: The central toilet facility is located on the 13th floor. Further facilities can be found on floors 11, 12 and 15. Fully accessible toilets for persons with mobility disabilities are located on floors 12 and 13.
Recital Hall: Facilities for guests of the Recital Hall are located in the Recital Hall Foyer.

Found items should be handed in to the security staff on the Plaza, at the main entrance or at the security office at the south-east corner of the Elbphilharmonie. Lost items can also be retrieved here or you can ask for them by sending an email to fundsachen@elbphilharmonie.de.
After four weeks, all lost items will be deposited at the Lost Items Headquarters (»zentrales Fundbüro«) in the neighbourhood of Altona:
