Description
What do snow and ice sound like? What does an icy north wind whistling around corners sound like? After such a wintry start to the concert, the crazy and exuberant dance »La follia« will warm you up and won’t want to stop. Finally, the audience is introduced to Arcangelo Corelli’s Christmas Concerto, which was traditionally performed at the festive banquet in the Vatican Palace. The finale is particularly Christmassy with the world-famous »Pastorale«. The NDR welcomes the Schirokko Ensemble, a string orchestra that plays on historical instruments.
