Description

A piano concerto that opens with a drum solo? That finds favour with Rudolf Buchbinder! The pianist is known for his exquisite choice of works and his daring interpretations. So it doesn’t matter that Richard Strauss’s »Burleske« is not a real piano concerto at all. The composer wrote the one-movement piece at the age of 24 – his third concertante work after the Violin Concerto and the Horn Concerto.

Please ntoe: Yuja Wang will not go on her planned European tour in May. Rudolf Buchibinder steps in for her at this concert. Tickets retain their validity.
