Description
»Dance and Tapir« takes the audience away to South America. There, in the jungles of Argentina, grows a magnificent flower that can, with the right sounds, cast a spell over everything around it. A concert for children aged 5 to 7.
Argentina is not only the country where you’ll find the highest mountain of the Americas and the lowest point on earth, it is also home to tropical rainforest. A centuries-old flower that is full of magic lives here between the enormous trees and the amazing animals. It doesn’t need water or sun to display its splendid petals, only the music and dance of its homeland.
The three musicians – Marcelo Nisinman (bandoneon), Heiner Reich (cello) and Maurizio Grandinetti (guitar) – water the flower with the sounds of tango composer Astor Piazolla. They are supported by two tango dancers who, through their movements, also invite the children in the audience to take an active part in helping the flower grow. »Dance and Tapir« is a playful and poetic production by the Lucerne Symphony Orchestra.
