Description

There is probably no first-class chamber music ensemble anywhere in the world that has not appeared on the programmes of the Hamburgische Vereinigung von Freunden der Kammermusik. The society was founded by local businessmen in 1922; it is run on an honorary basis and has one of the longest traditions of any private concert organiser. The concerts of their subscription series offer an overview of the whole gamut of the chamber music literature, as well as a cross section of lesser-known works from the classical, romantic and contemporary repertoires.
