There is probably no first-class chamber music ensemble anywhere in the world that has not appeared on the programmes of the Hamburgische Vereinigung von Freunden der Kammermusik. The society was founded by local businessmen in 1922; it is run on an honorary basis and has one of the longest traditions of any private concert organiser. The concerts of their subscription series offer an overview of the whole gamut of the chamber music literature, as well as a cross section of lesser-known works from the classical, romantic and contemporary repertoires.

strong>Please note: Due to the current restrictions, many concert programmes have had to be changed. A number of dates are being duplicated, with two concerts performed twice in succession on one evening. Subscribers will be notified in advance of the alternative concerts and will have priority booking.
