The Organ of the Elbphilharmonie

Various concerts of the 2016/17 season involve the new organ in the Elbphilharmonie Grand Hall, for example the concert of titular organist Iveta Apkalna as part of the Elbphilarmonie’s Grand Opening. This series also includes three concerts as part of the festival »Lux aeterna« and three spectacular performances of the music theatre piece »Call me God« with Hollywood star John Malkovich in the lead role. A highlight of the organ season has to be the »Long Night of the Organ«. Organists from Hamburg’s major churches and conservatories explore every imaginable aspect of the instrument.
