Music in every corner of the Elbphilharmonie – to listen to and to participate in, for children and families
From the Kaistudios to the Grand Hall, from the cellar all the way up to the roof terrace: on Family Day, every corner of the Elbphilharmonie is filled with music. Young ones and those young at heart are invited to listen and to take part in this colourful music programme. Everyone is welcome!

Musician, composer and musical instrument inventor Ferdinand Försch presents his latest sound installations in the Grand Hall and the Recital Hall foyers.
Library
Discover the world of digital music using iPads and laptops, a diverse collection of CDs, DVDs and sheet music from the music department of Hamburg’s central public library or browse through recently published books, magazines and DVDs from the Hamburger Bücherhallen’s (public libraries) children’s department.
Instrument Workshops
In the recently opened »World of Instruments« in the Elbphilharmonie Kaistudios, almost every instrument in the world is waiting to be tried out. Get a detailed introduction to the instruments by attending a 30-minute workshop. Enter an exotic world in the Circle Lounge on floor 13: the Gamelan Orchestra is looking for new members!
