Mazowsze
100 Years of Polish Independence
Mazowsze is a folk group consisting of around 100 dancers, singers and orchestral musicians. They whip their audiences into a high-tempo fervour and get them interested in Polish traditions. The ensemble was formed by a married couple, Mira Ziminska and Tadeusz Sygietznski, in 1948, and has become a living monument to Polish musical and dance traditions. As an ambassador for Polish culture, Mazowsze can now again be seen performing in Germany after an absence of more than 10 years. They are also celebrating a double anniversary: 100 years of Polish independence and 70 years of Mazowsze!
