Elbphilharmonie Kopfhörer #25 – Welcome Home

The podcast for young people. This episode poses the question: what is home?

What does it feel like to be forced to leave your home? Somaya and Tajala know the answer to that only too well. They fled their home country of Afghanistan and have been living in Hamburg for a year now, where they attend a school for vocational training in energy technology in Altona. In this episode they talk about the things they like here and the things they don’t so much.

They also open up about the role music plays in their lives and what they and their classmates most like to listen to. What’s more: The pair meet and chat with Mette, a violinist who plays in the world-famous Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and look into the question »What does home mean to you?« at the Elbphilharmonie school concert »Welcome Home!« in October.
