Workshop »Klassiko Orchesterinstrumente«
Open Day: Instrument workshop (45 minutes) followed by a concert hall discovery tour (approx. 120 minutes).
From violins to double basses, timpani and more: in the belly of the Elbphilharmonie, a treasure trove of musical instruments is just waiting to be discovered. Many of the instruments stored away here are used in classical symphony orchestra concerts. In this workshop, instruments belonging to the large string and percussion families can be tried out. And with sound experiments and improvisation games to help, sounding the first note will take no time at all. The workshop is recommended for ages 6 and upwards.
Please note: The workshop lasts for 45 minutes, after which Open Day visitors can embark on their own independent discovery tour of the concert halls (approx. 120 minutes). Admission is possible from 20 minutes before the start of the workshop via the Kaistudios on the 2nd floor (access via the north entrance, to the right of the escalator).
