Location

Hauptkirche St. Jacobi Hamburg

The Protestant-Lutheran church of St. Jacobi is located right in the centre of Hamburg. Despite numerous changes over the course of history and extensive devastation during the Second World War, the church is one of the few surviving medieval structures in the city centre. With its 60 stops and around 4,000 pipes, the church’s Arp Schnitger organ of 1693 on the west gallery is the biggest surviving Baroque organ in northern Europe.

  • Parking

St Jacobi Church is located in the centre of Hamburg. We recommend that guests use public transportation to travel to the venue; parking spaces are expensive and hard to come by.

  • Accessibility

The building and all areas for use by guests can be accessed without climbing steps. The church has a wheelchair-accessible toilet. An audio induction loop is fitted in the main nave.
