Previous EventNext Event

On the occasion of International Women's Day 2019, the association »Haus der Kulturen der Welt e.V.« has invited a very special Iranian ensemble to Hamburg: the twelve-piece ensemble Khonyagaran-e Mehr consists solely of women. Highly unusual in Iran, the group is in the process of breaking up traditionalistic patterns and establishing a female music scene in their country. For their many international concerts the musicians, all of whom are professionally trained, generally invite a special guest artist to join them. For the evening at the Laeiszhalle, they will be joined by the singer Aref Rafat.
