International Mendelssohn Festival / Opening Concert
»Ohne Worte« / »Without Words«
The International Mendelssohn Festival has become a permanent fixture in Hamburg’s music scene, despite only celebrating its third anniversary this year. From 13–24 September, ten chamber music concerts in various formations are presented alternately in the Elbphilharmonie Recital Hall, the Laeiszhalle Recital Hall and St. Johannis Church in Harvestehude. Chamber music series, lieder recitals, children's concerts and jazz events seem to be made for the Recital Hall of the Laeiszhalle, which can accommodate up to 640 guests.
