In this workshop, participants embark on a sound expedition around the world in 90 minutes. Along the way, they get to know many percussion instruments: drums and rattles, but also lesser-known ones like Pakhawaj, Kpanlogo or Shekere. The instruments come from all corners of the world, from the Caribbean to Asia, and have sometimes travelled many thousands of miles before they arrived at the Elbphilharmonie. Participants create their very own, rousing rhythm together from the different timbres.
Please note: every workshop participant requires a ticket. Children and teenagers under the age of 16 may not participate in this workshop.
