»Big Band Meets School« – School Pupils' Concert

This concert has already taken place!

Previous EventNext Event

Since 2012, children, teenagers and young adults have been rehearsing in different big bands like the Early Birds or the Jazzy Buskers at the media bunker on Hamburg's Feldstraße. Two professional musicians and music teachers, Edgar Herzog and Paul Muntean, founded the bands and the association Big Band Port Hamburg. Their aim is to interest people in jazz, salsa and pop music, cultivating the big band tradition in particular, and including contemporary music in their work. In the process, they bring together young people with a wide variety of family and social backgrounds.
