Rhythms can be produced by beating drums, by clapping or stamping – and they can be formed to very good effect with the human voice, as well. »Konnakol« is the name of the syllabic language from the south of India, with which the most complex rhythms can be expressed clearly and at breakneck speed. The workshop gives an insight into the inexhaustible world of Indian rhythms. In addition to traditional exercises, the participants learn different approaches to creative practising and teaching. An effective and interesting opportunity to understand, practise and internalise rhythm!
