Information on ticket refunds for cancelled events

All concerts in the Elbphilharmonie and the Laeiszhalle until 30 April 2020 have been cancelled because of the current situation with the coronavirus. All events organised by HamburgMusik gGmbH and NDR in other venues have also been cancelled. Furthermore, all concert hall tours in this period are also cancelled.

Below we explain how you can claim a refund for the purchase price of your ticket. Please note that many concert organisers are hoping to hold cancelled concerts at later dates. There is therefore no rush to claim a refund – you can wait for the alternative date to be announced/have your ticket refunded when the cancellation is confirmed. Further information on possible alternative dates will be published here in a few days.

Please note that the process for returning your ticket is different depending on how and where you purchased it.

If you decide to return your ticket for a refund now, we ask you to be patient – it may take a few weeks to process.

Tickets bought directly through the Elbphilharmonie sales channels

You booked your tickets on www.elbphilharmonie.de and received them as print@home tickets?

If so, you will automatically receive the purchase price via the payment method used for the original booking – you don’t need to do anything.

You booked your tickets by phone on the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle ticket hotline +49 40 357 666 66 and received them as print@home tickets?

If so, please complete our refund form in full.

If so, please complete our refund form in full, print it out and send it, along with the original tickets, to us at the following address:

You have a subscription

Do you have a subscription to concerts by HamburgMusik gGmbH, NDR, Symphoniker Hamburg, Ensemble Resonanz and/or Kammermusikfreunde Hamburg, and (if applicable) you have a corresponding Subscription Card?

If so, please complete our refund form in full.

The sum refunded to you is calculated as a proportion of the total price of the subscription. The individual concerts of a subscription may be weighted differently.

You bought your tickets through sales channels that do not belong to the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle

You bought your tickets through any website other than elbphilharmonie.de (e.g. eventim.de) or were forwarded from elbphilharmonie.de to an external website, bought the tickets personally at an external ticket office or booked them via a telephone hotline that does not belong to the Elbphilharmonie and Laeiszhalle?

If so, please contact the respective location directly – they will be able to give you further information on refunds.
