When the power-hungry tyrant Dr. Cortex decides to ban live music across the globe and launch all instruments, orchestras, and sheet music into space, five extraterrestrial beings set out on a journey to save music.
The staged concert »Intergalactic Highway« takes the audience on an exciting space mission. The Dianto Reed Quintet, a young, enthusiastic woodwind quintet, plays both old classical music by composers such as Jean Sibelius, Antonio Vivaldi and Robert Schumann, as well as new pieces. The musicians want to be free to choose their own repertoire – something they also realise on their journey. Can they use the power of music to change the tyrant’s mind?

The Characters
SONORIS
A living star of sound, born from the musical instruments that Dr. Cortex banished. As an indirect creation of Dr. Cortex, Sonoris embodies a central, unifying force between art, the cosmos, and humanity. Parent of the five Star Children.
THE FIVE STAR CHILDREN OF SONORIS
Sound beings and musical individuals who orbit Sonoris and carry her music forward. They embody curiosity, movement, and hope. Portrayed by the Dianto Reed Quintet.
PROFESSOR MAXIMILIA JINGLE
Astrophysicist, researcher, and superheroine of knowledge. She stands for conscience, knowledge, and the vital power of art. She opposes the absolute power of Dr. Cortex.
DR. CORTEX
The most powerful man on Earth and a bitter enemy of music. He believes in order through control and views art as a threat. He embodies power, the law, and the fear of freedom.
