Mahler’s Ninth with the Concertgebouworkest

A dream combination: the Concertgebouworkest, Myung-Whun Chung and Mahler’s Ninth.

Mahler’s Ninth, his legendary last work, is on the Elbphilharmonie programme more than once this year. And when Myung-Whun Chung and the Concertgebouworkest travel from Amsterdam to Hamburg in February, we’ll be dealing with real Mahler experts. The RCO has had strong links with the composer since 1903, when the orchestra performed Mahler’s First and Third Symphonies, with the composer himself conducting.
