Devastating sorrow, overwhelming joy: Easter is a holiday of contrasting emotions. From Good Friday to Easter Sunday, the Elbphilharmonie will be broadcasting three streams covering the whole spectrum of emotions, with exceptional artists and great music for the soul.

Good Friday, 2 April 2021, 19:30: The French Baroque ensemble Pygmalion performs Bach’s »St Matthew Passion« – a concert stream from Provence under the baton of Raphaël Pichon featuring fantastic singers such as Sabine Devieilhe and Julian Prégardien.
Holy Saturday, 3 April 2021, 20:15: Haydn’s Passion music »The Seven Last Words of Our Saviour on the Cross« meets texts by the bestselling author Wolfgang Herrndorf, performed by Ensemble Resonanz and the actor Birgit Minichmayr.
Easter Sunday, 4 April 2021, 20:15: The Finnish jazz pianist Iiro Rantala and the Deutsche Kammerphilharmonie Bremen present an electrifying programme: Poulenc, Mozart and a humorous »Best of Beethoven«.
