He has played his way into the top league of international pianists in no time at all: Daniil Trifonov, born in 1991, eclipses not a few performances that were seen for decades as great keyboard art. The great pianist Martha Argerich, one of Trifonov’s admirers, exclaims that she has »never heard anything like it before«. The winner of the leading international piano competitions now makes his long-awaited debut with the NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra, at which he plays piano concertos by Sergei Prokofiev and Alfred Schnittke.
The live stream is only available in Germany and the US.
»Daniil Trifonov is without question the most astounding young pianist of our age.«
